Consul General Marian Pârjol gets award at Celebrity Gala

Romania’s Consul General in New York, Marian Pârjol, has been honored at the first “Celebrities in America” Gala in Las Vegas, on May 7, 2011.

The event was arranged by Romania’s Honorary Consulate General in Las Vegas, Professional Celebrity, TVR International and Doina-America Association, with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The aim was to promote the image of Romania abroad.

Such events make known to the world outstanding Romanian figures living in the US, celebrities that help foster the image of Romania, as well as successful Americans who have supported the Romanian-US relations.

Awards were conferred for remarkable achievements to personalities in areas ranging from culture and education to diplomacy and sports. Mrs. Lia Roberts, Honorary Consul General of Romania in Las Vegas, chaired the jury.
